Blood Pressure Monitors Calibration
What is calibration?
Calibration is a process of checking that your blood pressure monitor is working correctly. We use specific clinical testing equipment that simulates blood pressure to establish that your machine is working correctly.
How often should my machine be calibrated?
We recommend that your blood pressure monitor should be calibrated once every two years when used moderately at home. That’s not to say that your monitor will be giving you inaccurate readings, it’s just best to have them checked when you are using them to monitor your health at home.
Will I be charged for repair?
Your OMRON blood pressure monitor has a three year warranty from the date of purchase, within this time a repair is free of charge as long as you provide a valid receipt or purchase order.
If your machine is outside the warranty period, there is a standard charge of £30 for repair. This is payable by cheque which should be included with the unit when it is sent in for repair. All cheques should be made payable to Omron Healthcare UK Ltd. The standard charge includes all return postage costs, we send all items out via our nominated courier and all parcels are traceable. Every item has to be signed for on delivery.
This service is only available for customers in the UK.
How long will will it take to calibrate my monitor?
We aim to send all units back within 10 working days of receipt.
What if I suspect my machine has a fault?
If you believe your machine has a fault we ask that you contact a member of our customer service team and we will try to resolve your problem over the phone. Failing this we will ask that you send your monitor in for further investigation.
If you machine id found to have a fault we will repair or replace you unit so you can be assured that we will return a fully working monitor back to you.
