OMRON Healthcare UK introduces the latest addition to their clinical respiratory therapy range, the high output CompAir™ Pro (NE-C900) nebuliser.  After researching the needs of respiratory clinicians, OMRON developed this latest addition specifically for it to be used within a medical environment.
 
A major challenge in the treatment of respiratory disease is the delivery of the medication to the respiratory tract, including the bronchi and bronchioles.
 
The clinical requirement also indicates a need for equipment which would ensure that there is a maximum deposition of the drug in the lungs with consistent and stable output of the nebuliser chamber so that the particle size profile remains the same between therapies as well as after cleaning.  It is also essential that the whole system promotes infection control. The product must be easy to store, quick to maintain, fast to clean and robust enough to withstand manual handling.
 
The CompAir™ Pro C900 features a durable high-output compressor that produces 7 litres/min at a pressure of 100 kPa, yielding a medication output of up to 0.4 ml/min with a mass median aerodynamic diameter (MMAD) of 3 microns.
 
A further key feature to this nebuliser is the introduction of OMRON’s new Smart Structure™  nebuliser kit.  With only two parts to clean, the newly developed nebuliser kit makes assembly and disassembly easy and for added flexibility, the parts that contact the patient are composed of either PVC or polypropylene, making the NE-C900 CompAir™ Pro suitable for use in patients with latex allergies.
 
Since the parts can be easily and effectively sanitized between applications, the NE-C900 CompAir™ Pro is ideally suited for repeated use in multiple patients.
 
The OMRON NE-C900 CompAir™ Pro can deliver virtually any medical solution, giving you a wide range of patient care options. The C900 also has the flexibility to be used with nebuliser kits from different manufacturers - making it ideal for busy clinical environments.
